Skyline Falcons

A small bronze falcon, soaring with wings outspread, seemingly flying through a pass. This pass is formed in wood and acts as a base. The sculptures were made for teachers retiring from Skyline High School in Longmont, Colorado.

Skyline Falcons
1997. Bronze
I was asked to sculpt the mascot of Skyline High School, (where I was the art department Chair) for retiring teachers who had been at the school since its opening. I created the birds, and the wood shop teacher created the bases. The series saw a run of 20 birds.
