This form explores the infusion of the figure within stone. The tension of the bowed figure wraps into the arms as they pull across the face, and through the crossed legs as the feet push atop one-another. Naturally occurring lines in the stone are utilized to complement and describe the human form. This is a lengthy process of hand-carving, where I allow the stone to bring its own voice into the conversation.
