This work was begun during my MFA. After being told I would be cut from the program if I continued with such nonsense, I sanded it down and set it aside. I am working on it again, and just letting my hands rest a bit, after stunning them with stone tools and abrasives. These images show it as it was when I stopped carving during my MFA. The large uncarved portions are intentional, it is just refining the figural form that is of concern.
